Back in November I began looking for a new CMS system for my primary client www.nytro.com. I settled on MURA as the new Content Management System of choice. While the team over at Blue Interactive has done an amazing job in developing MURA with amazing flexibility I did feel that it was lacking one primary component.
It was with that mindset that I developed the URL Redirect plug-in for MURA. At it's core the plug-in is very simple, you give it an original URL that a visitor would enter into their browser, and based upon some predefined rules the visitor is redirected to an alternate URL. This is great for two issue that come up all the time in web development.
- Marketing Friendly URL's
- Pages that have moved, and are still indexed in search indexes
The plug-in is designed to solve those common issues.
