With the launch of my new website, some people will notice that I no longer have a section called "Mura Plug-ins". Not to worry, I haven't stopped working with Mura, or given up on those plug-ins but now there are new ways to accomplish the same tasks my plug-ins did before.
I will be rolling out a new section of my website called "Mura Modifications" where I catalog a series of simple modifications that can be added to themes, renderers and event handlers in Mura to provide specific functionality. More of a library of tools instead of full blown plug-ins. For example the Navigation on this site is a custom jQuery nav to pull in categories instead of subpages but can be achieved with a simple modification to the site's Content Renderer. This is something I plan to share in the new section of my site. In addition I do have some full featured plug-ins that I have been working on, and should be available shortly.
So what happened to the features that I had before? Well here is a list of the functionality that was previously available, and where you can find it.
Power Tools > FAQ Display: This display object has been added to David Long's "More dspObjects" plug-in that is available in the app store or on Here on GitHub. David was nice enought just to allow me to add my display object to his library of objects, and I hope that in the future I can add more display objects like it.
Power Tools > Image Display: This fetaure allowed developers a simple method of resizing images on the fly to fit their design needs. Again this can be acieved very easily, and I intend to roll it out in the new Mura Modifications section.
Power Tools > Validation: To be honest this section of the power tools was very week and buggy. There are a lot of better validations out there that work much better.
URL Redirects: My url redirect plug-in was something that I used but unfortunatly it was not very robust. I believe that there are some other plug-ins out there now that can accomidate this same functionality. In fact if someone knows of any, please comment on this post so I can update.
I hope that helps provide some clarity, and as always if there is something specifc that you need, please don't hesitate to contact me via any of the methods at the bottom of this site's nav.
